Unyielding Roots
Rashaan Allwood, Katheryn Patricia Cobbler, and Nadine Anyan present a multi-media performance of their original compositions that reflect the Caribbean immigrant and African diaspora experience. The program includes diverse styles such as ambient, jazz, folk, contemporary, Hip-Hop, and classical accompanied by visuals from life in the Caribbean and in Canada. Themes of being raised within multiple cultures will be explored, redefining beauty against a North American colonial landscape.
